The Traditional Clean is the amp many of you have been asking for! Simple controls. Big, full cleans. Super lush reverb. A perfect higher wattage pedal platform!
So, what is the Traditional Clean? Where does it sit in the Two-Rock line?
The Traditional Clean is the result of an evolution of the Custom Reverb's clean channel. John Mayer went to Two-Rock and worked on an amp that eventually became the John Mayer Signature. After the limited run of 25 signature amps, the Classic Reverb was introduced as a production version. Later, under the ownership of Premier Builders Guild, Two-Rock released the Crystal which brought the amp back to the original circuit design with a hi-fi aesthetic.
In 2016, Two-Rock landed back in the hands of the old guard. Since then, Two-Rock has been revisiting its roots and has released the next evolution of this clean platform amplifier. The Traditional Clean features Two-Rock's new proprietary transformer which allows the amp to change from either 4 x 6L6 (switchable from 100/50 watts) or 4 x 6V6 (switchable from 40/20 watts) without having any impedance issues or sacrificing any of the feel or tone. Along with a new reverb circuit and component selection, Two-Rock has moved this style of amp to a new stage in its line of professional amplifiers.
